As discussed last week in Lesson #143, some of the most beneficial outcomes come from difficult decisions.
I was recently offered an amazing opportunity - and really I just happened to be in the right place, at the right time, and impressed members of senior management. I am really excited to get back to work, but I am not excited at all to leave the kiddos. I get to wear my suits and look professional again. Finally my MAC makeup will be used on a regular basis. Time will be carved out every morning {at or around 5am} for me to shower...in peace...alone. Yes, this job does come with perks...but I still feel like a bad mommy for leaving the kiddos every day.
I have been trying to do all I can to make the most of my last week with Lulu and Bubba...
We've wrastled around on the floor:
We had our first taste of an Icee:
We've walked through the mud in nice shoes:
We made a trip to the beloved Halloween store:
We've played with Tupperware on the kitchen floor:
We shared Fruit Loops out of play kitchen ware:
No matter how much time I've spent with them...I still don't want to leave the two cutest faces EVER!
I hope they will realize that mommy is doing this for their own good...to be able to afford the extra things they deserve!

It is really hard to leave for work in the mornings. The Kids drive me insane sometimes, but I miss them.
The hardest thing is to leave them but the best thing is seeing them again. Your kids will completely understand and they will adjust to the new norm. You are still a wonderful mommy if you work.
i'm here from the flip flop alexa hop!

I went back to work after my first child. It was hard. Turns out it was not right for me. But if it's the right thing for you, you will exude that and you children will understand because their mommy is happy.
It's hard to leave them sometimes. I try to make the most of my free days and nights.
New follower from Thursday Friend Cafe. It is a hard decision you made. I'm sure they will appreciate it though. One thing that helped my family was when my children were small I made one night a week family night. Nothing was allowed to interrupt it except illness. They watched me turn off all phones and ignore the door. I told them it was because they were so important to me that I made this special evening just for us. When they were teens they never planned anything for that night of the week. They did not balk at leaving video games or turning off phones and computers. Starting them young with the family night was one of the best things I did. I now get to hear all about their family nights with their children.

I've been a SAHM and a working mommy and it's hard either way. I hope it goes well for you all!
I agree with Dysfunctional Mom - it's so hard either way. But your kids will definitely see, one day, that you are doing so much for them. And I really feel that getting out of the house is so good for us, too. Best to luck! xo
Being home doesn't make you a better or a worse Mom. Having your heart BE your children makes you a better Mom. Good luck. You'll do great...and so will the kiddies.
I had to go to work after my divorce 11 years ago and had to leave my kiddos. Luckily they were older. Now that I am remarried I am blessed to have a hubby that wants me to stay home with my children to see them grow up.
Cherish every moment you have with your little ones. It really goes by too fast (my older ones are 19, 18 and 15)
BTW, I am a new follower from the hop. Hope you can stop by Tots and Me

My Crazy Life
Sending you hugs and love, momma! Your little ones will love you for doing what you do for them. I think sometimes we are so hard on ourselves.
xoxo
Congrats on the new job! I don't have kids, but my parents always worked when I was growing up. I think it's just all about balance and getting in a routine. Good luck! Stopping by from Sit and Relax Weekend Hop! :)
Hope you have an awesome first week, I know it will be hard to leave the kids, but I'm sure over time it will get easier
I can't imagine how difficult it must be to go back to work. I know you love them though! There are so cute too!
