Welcome to "Transient Tuesdays"...I am glad that you decided to stop by! Have a seat, kick up your feet and enjoy this week's post from The Vodka Lover. I am so happy that The Vodka Lover agreed to share a poem she wrote about pride and think you should check her out at Vodka Logic here!
Pride
To me it has a cowards ring,
For one who doesn't hide, behind anything.
Smoke and mirrors, what the hell?
Another way to avoid as well.
Pride is a mighty thing,
Mess with it, and I feel the sting.
Embarrassment is the worse,
Private or public, always a curse.
And humiliation a bitter pill,
Just have to suffer through it still.
To warn others of this path,
Would only cause undo wrath.
I play fair, despite,
To be vengeful, would feel right.
Now back to pride,
It's hard to hide.
On lifes long and difficult ride.
